My wife and I own 20 acres up on the dryer side of the mountains of Washington state.
Our eventual goal is to care for this property while at the same time make plans for building a house, debt free and that’s dependent on only minimal resources — no grid for power, water, or sewage.
I’m not a builder but a woodworker, I’ve never built a home from scratch before, only sheds.
There is lots to learn and experience as we begin this new phase in our lives.
As I learn about various attributes to creating life on the mountain, I want to share with you what I’m learning or learned. Won’t you please join us as we plan out our work and then work our plan in creating our dream place and freedom.
